My surprise sunflower success
It all started with a little packet of promotional sunflower seeds. One of our lovely suppliers gave them to us during a visit. They sat on my desk until April, when I finally planted them, not really expecting much. I don't consider myself much of a green-fingered girlie. I just wanted a few bright flowers for the garden. But wow, did they surprise me!

I was excited to see at least 12 sprouts emerge from the soil. However, I'd planted them a bit too close together—a lesson learned for next time! When it came time to plant them in the ground, I had seven healthy soldiers ready to go. We had some ferocious winds in June, and unfortunately, two of them didn't make it, leaving me with four mighty sunnies.
By August, my garden was home to four huge sunflowers. Each one was at least seven feet tall, and one even shot up to a massive thirteen feet! And get this—they weren't just single-headed flowers. They were multi-headed marvels! One plant alone grew thirteen different heads. I honestly thought sunflowers only grew one head at a time so you can imagine my surprise...

Watching them grow has been so much fun. From tiny sprouts to these giant, beautiful plants covered in butterflies and bees, every new head was a happy surprise.
The coolest part? Every time I see them, I'm reminded of my happy little workplace, TC Branding. Thinking about it...that box of seeds turned into a huge, season-long advertisement for us. It shows how something small and clever can make a big, lasting impression.
This whole experience proves that the most rewarding things often come from the smallest beginnings. If you have any forgotten seeds lying around, plant them! It was so lovely to nurture and watch something grow. Looking forward to next season...
